CNC Software Company Releases Multiaxis Machining Technology

BobCAD-CAM has announced the release of their new Multiaxis CNC Software. For more than 25 years the pioneer CAD/CAM provider has helped machine shops in all aspects of manufacturing automate cnc programming to keep shops lean and productive. "Through the 80's and 90's the focus was more on 2D and 3D machining automation, but more and more shops every day are looking for the benefits of full 5 axis cnc machining," said Chris Corbell who is the Marketing VP at BobCAD-CAM. The new multiaxis software release provides a variety of new surface-based toolpath strategies that make complicated part-machining simple.

They have added machining Wizards to the multiaxis software which step the operator through the process of creating simultaneous 4 or 5 axis machine toolpath. In addition to a long list of new features, the release is the first in the world to provide high speed machine toolpath for 5 axis programming. The new surface-based machine toolpaths can also be used for unique 3 axis part-making scenarios which opens the cnc manufacturing doors for many shops that have 5 axis cnc machines to do even more types machine work. In addition, the new multiaxis PRO versions allow the operator to input and use the machines kenimatics to simulate the machine cutting the part in simulation mode.
