Geometric to Launch CAMWorks 2013 at SolidWorks World 2013

GeometricLimited will release the latest version of its intuitive solids-based CNC programming solution, CAMWorks® 2013, at the SolidWorks World 2013, being held from January 20-23, 2013 at booth #115, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort in Orlando, Florida, USA.

Since its initial introduction in one of the foremost SolidWorks World events, CAMWorks, the first SolidWorks® gold partner CAM system, has been delivering unmatched productivity to its users. Honoring its continued commitment to introduce the latest in programming technology to its users, CAMWorks 2013 has further simplified machining with multi-tasking machines through the introduction of Synchronous Machining Module (SMM), including intricate control on the sub-spindle operations. With an ear to users’ feedback, CAMWorks 2013 boasts of an enhanced user interface (UI) for easier access to improve productivity. The new simulation with life-like display and intricate controls has also garnered rave reviews.

CAMWorks 2013 has bolstered an already comprehensive Application Programming Interface (API) suite, with the addition of a wide variety of APIs including one that helps interpret Product and Manufacturing Information (PMI) data for our advanced users to automate significant portion of their design to manufacture life cycle reducing the drudgery of manual programming. This ability to automate has not only been harnessed for families of part but also for uniquely designed components like tailor-made devices for each patient in the medical industry. Attendees at SolidWorks World will have the opportunity to visit us at the booth to learn the underlying fundamentals of integration and discuss the possibilities of applying similar solutions to their need with our engineering team.

CAMWorks combines with SolidWorks to bring the world of design and manufacturing a step closer. This has been possible due to the tight integration with SolidWorks that allows CAMWorks to store CAM data within the SolidWorks part file reducing file management and leveraging SolidWorks’ familiar interface to provide the users the best in class ease-of-use capabilities.

“Some early feedback on CAMWorks 2013 from our loyal customer base confirms that the release lives up to our philosophy of ‘program fast, machine faster’”, says Sameer Kondejkar, Sr. Director and Business Unit Head, Geometry Technology Solutions. “SolidWorks World 2013 is a perfect platform to announce the arrival of the latest release of CAMWorks, since this is where the journey began 15 years ago.”
