SpaceClaim and ANSYS Renew License and Distribution Agreement and Expand ANSYS SpaceClaim Direct Modeler Market Penetration

SpaceClaim and ANSYS announced that they have extended their license and distribution agreement originally signed in 2009. The engineering fidelity of the ANSYS SpaceClaim Direct Modeler joint offering has fostered innovation, lowered product costs, and reduced time-to-market.

SpaceClaim® and ANSYS have worked together for the past five years to provide an environment for engineering simulation, revolutionizing engineers’ ability to use simulation to drive their product development process. SpaceClaim will now be bundled with a variety of existing ANSYS offerings, including ANSYS® DesignSpace®, ANSYS Mechanical™ PrepPost, and ANSYS CFD™ PrepPost. These bundles will put SpaceClaim directly in the hands of engineers involved with early concept phase design work, where engineering simulation can deliver low-cost, high-impact system optimization, upstream of building the first physical prototype.

“Ease-of-use and the ability to quickly analyze many different design variations are crucial for a company to be confident that its products will be successful in the real world,” said Barry Christenson, director of product management at ANSYS. “Our customers enjoy the streamlined workflow efficiencies from ANSYS SpaceClaim Direct Modeler and we look forward to working more closely with SpaceClaim in the future.”

“We have been extremely pleased with how our partnership with ANSYS has developed,” said Rich Moore, SpaceClaim VP of business development. “Our business relationship is very strong, and we continue to be amazed at what our mutual customers are able to accomplish. We welcome this opportunity to expand our relationship with ANSYS and make SpaceClaim more available to its global customer base,” he added.

These new bundles are available today and ANSYS customers can get more details from their local ANSYS office or reseller.
