SURFCAM 6 to be Presented at SolidWorks World 2013

Surfware, Inc., developer of SURFCAM® CAD/CAM systems is pleased to be presenting the latest release of SURFCAM 6 at SolidWorks World 2013 from January 20–23, 2013 in booth #405 at Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort in Orlando, Florida, USA.

With over 8 years of commitment and experience as a certified SolidWorks CAM partner, Surfware ensures that SURFCAM will continue to support and work with the latest versions of SolidWorks as they are released. As an example of this commitment, SURFCAM 6 users have been able to work associatively with SolidWorks 2013 data since December 2012. SURFCAM customers can simply download the most recent updates for SURFCAM 6 at www.surfcam.com/support_downloads.aspx and work associatively with SolidWorks 2013 files.

SURFCAM’s powerful associativity enables NC programmers to open native SolidWorks 2013 files directly into SURFCAM 6, completely eliminating the translation process. When changes are made to the SolidWorks design models, SURFCAM automatically recognizes the design revisions and offers to regenerate the affected toolpaths within SURFCAM’s Operations Manager. With this simple and seamless interoperability between these two systems, SURFCAM users can quickly adapt to SolidWorks design changes and efficiently update their programming environment.

The partnership of SURFCAM 6 and SolidWorks 2013 provides a smart, simple and efficient solution for NC programmers who required ease-of-use and world class precision and control over their NC programming environment.

SURFCAM 6 supports SolidWorks 2013 parts, assemblies, sketches and configurations and includes over 200 Post Processors for major CNC machine manufacturers.
