JETCAM Releases Free 2D CAD Viewer

JETCAM International s.a.r.l. has released an update to its free CAD Viewer supporting all major 2D CAD formats. The application is lightweight, requires no registration to download/use and does not need any CAD applications to be installed in order to view the files.

The JETCAM CAD Viewer supports 2D DXF, DWG (including AutoCAD 2013), IGES and JETCAM component files, and can view files located either on the user’s PC or across a network. Thumbnails are displayed in a scrollable ‘component tray’ at the bottom of the screen. The main area displays the CAD file, with a ruler left and below. Commented Martin Bailey, General Manager; “Version 3 of this extremely popular app, already downloaded thousands of times, brings certain interface elements in line with our other products such as CrossTrack and JETCAM Orders Controller, as well as updating file formats to support newer software releases. The aim was to provide an extremely fast and unobtrusive tool that does the job with no ads or other distractions. Existing JETCAM customers benefit from being able to view native JETCAM components as well as general CAD files.”
