TCS Wins IABC Gold Quill Excellence Award

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), announced, that it has won the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Gold Quill Excellence Award for its “Big Four” IT services corporate communications campaign globally.

TCS’ European entry had qualified for the global competition by winning the EMERALD Award from the IABC Europe chapter earlier this year. The Gold Quill Awards recognize the best and brightest in global business communication and this year’s competition received nearly 800 entries from around the world.

Tim Buckley, IABC 2013 Gold Quill Awards Chair, said, “Gold Quill is an international symbol of excellence in strategic communication that recognizes smart thinking, exceptional execution and proven results. The communications team at TCS has demonstrated that they deliver meaningful work that both contribute to business results and helps builds the overall reputation of the communication profession. Winning this Gold Quill Award puts TCS in the top ranks of the world’s business communicators. “

Pradipta Bagchi, Vice President & Global Head, Corporate Communications, TCS, said, “This award serves as an excellent recognition of our constant endeavor to increase our visibility and tell our company’s story at a global level. We have aimed at staying ahead of the curve by innovating and investing in our communications and influencer programs, backed up by a rapidly evolving capability of our global communications team and partners.”

The winning communications campaign had highlighted TCS position as a leader in its industry, through the evolution in its brand. Recently, TCS announced an over $1 billion increase in brand value as measured by Brand Finance, the world-leading brand valuation firm. Brand Finance’s assessment also confirms that TCS has improved its brand strength and now belongs to its industry’s top club of three AA+ rated IT services brands. The TCS brand value stands at $5,247 million in 2013, up from $4,068 million in 2012, consolidating the company’s position as a Big Four IT services brand.
