PTC Expands Technology Deployment Options with Acquisition of Hosting Provider NetIDEAS

PTC today announced it has acquired long-time partner NetIDEAS, Inc., a leading provider of software hosting and technical consulting services specializing in the areas of product development and product lifecycle management (PLM).

Headquartered in Marlton, New Jersey, NetIDEAS has worked with PTC for over a decade to provide secure, reliable hosting environments for companies that require turn-key PLM applications to support their complex, dynamic operations.

“Today is the culmination of a relationship more than a decade strong, and I believe this is an exciting opportunity for PTC, its customers, and the industry,” stated Marc Diouane, Executive Vice President, Global Services & Partners at PTC. “This next stage of our relationship will yield positive benefits for the industry, as PTC guides its customers along multiple deployment paths to maximum technology value.”

Since 2000, NetIDEAS has served as PTC’s preferred hosting solution provider, offering PTC Windchill® solutions in a hosted environment to customers across a wide range of industries. In June, NetIDEAS added PTC Windchill Quality Solutions™ to its portfolio of PTC hosted solutions.

“By partnering with PTC over the last decade, thousands of users worldwide have come to trust our highly available and secure hosting infrastructure to meet their PLM needs,” said Tom Rassmann, NetIDEAS President and CTO. “Our companies share great operational synergies as a result of our mutual history, and we look forward to continuing to help customers leverage the speed and efficiency of hosted application deployments.”
