ARES Security AVERT Helps Autodesk InfraWorks Users Model and Assess Risk

ARES Security Corporation announces a collaboration with Autodesk to help users of Autodesk InfraWorks (Autodesk InfraWorks 360 Pro and Autodesk InfraWorks as found in the Autodesk Infrastructure Design Suite 2014) to rapidly move 2D and 3D building and site information into ARES Security's AVERT solution to model and assess potential threats and security vulnerabilities.

ARES Security's AVERT is the premier 3D security optimization software that visually depicts, analyzes, and optimizes physical security. It measures security investment costs, evaluates the effectiveness of existing and planned countermeasures, and allows you to make the most of your existing or planned security budgets.

Autodesk InfraWorks solutions enhance BIM workflows by providing desktop software and cloud-based capabilities that enable multi-discipline infrastructure project stakeholders in geographically dispersed offices to publish, store, collaborate and manage large models centrally in the cloud via desktop or mobile devices. The ability to rapidly produce proposals by creating and aggregating project information, which can then be viewed within the InfraWorks environment as it might appear in the real world, helps make Autodesk InfraWorks a powerful tool for winning new business and accelerating the project approval process.

"The combination of ARES Security's AVERT and Autodesk InfraWorks solutions offers designers a powerful way to help facility owners quickly understand vital security and risk assessment considerations," said ARES Security Vice President of Business Development, Robert Scott. "It will help customers shorten the time to evaluate site security risks and ensure business continuity of their operations.  Now customers can add security as an early design phase component and efficiently predict how design alternatives may affect the security of their site."

"Autodesk continues to evaluate the market for tools that provide design and operational professionals with capabilities to enhance facility design," states Autodesk's Global Sales Development Manager, Theo Agelopoulos. "Autodesk InfraWorks solutions allow customers to rapidly generate early design concepts and easily create high impact visualizations to help speed early design approvals. With the integration of AVERT, they can add security evaluations to the earliest stages of design."
