SmartVoice in ZWCAD+ 2014: Innovation for More Convenient Annotation
ZWCAD Design has integrated a new annotation technology, SmartVoice, into ZWCAD+ 2014. It allows users to easily save voice information as an entity in their drawing rather than traditional text. The combination of vocal storage capability and its easy usage makes SmartVoice a new choice for efficient annotation, especially when conducting onsite project reviews or for designers who pursue the tidiness of the drawing.
Onsite Annotation Made Easier and More Convenient
The traditional way to make an annotation requires at least two steps, including revision cloud to specify a certain area for comment and typing the text. While most of designers may have got used to this traditional way, when conducting onsite project reviews, it will be inconvenient to use one hand to type the texts and the other hand holding a notebook or tablet. Moreover, since typing speed is normally slower than one can speak, it will affect the efficiency of onsite project reviews.
SmartVoice makes onsite review more efficient by allowing users to add annotations through vocal message. Simply by talking to the drawing, project reviewers can freely add comments at anytime encountering a fault in the construction site.
Design Environment Made Clearer and Tidier
Designers may have ever been plagued with drawings containing many overlapping cloud revisions, which distract designers and increase the possibility of human error. Using SmartVoice, every saved message will be displayed as a microphone icon, even with the longest comments never taking up more than an icon’s space, and as a result designers can add annotations without worries about messing up their drawings.
“Many designers have got used to make annotations in the traditional way just because the majority is doing the same.” said Daniel Huang, Product Manager of ZWCAD+. “While we find there are still rooms to improve the annotation efficiency, and still wondering whether we can bring new values in annotation with this innovative feature. After ZWCAD+ 2014’s debut for nearly a month, SmartVoice is proved to be a powerful tool for fast and efficient annotation.”
