ZW3D CAD/CAM Helps GAMECO to Smoothly Upgrade 2D CAD Design into 3D
ZW3D today announced that it has been selected by Guangzhou Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Company Limited (GAMECO) for its full compatibility with 2D CAD and efficient data communication. The enhanced collaboration between 2D drafting and 3D modeling is freeing GAMECO from tedious intermediate processes and shortening the aircraft design cycle.
Founded in 1989, GAMECO is one of the most comprehensive aircraft maintenance companies in China. Specializing in aircraft and airborne component maintenance, repair and overhaul, GAMECO is capable of performing multiple levels of aircraft maintenance checks, modification and engineering services for Boeing 737, 747; Airbus A300, A310; Embraer 145, 190, and many more.
The Need
GAMECO mainly deals with mechanical, electronic and plastic aircraft components which require highly accurate 3D simulation. They are therefore under constant pressure to convert 2D drawings to 3D models. In addition, GAMECO has to share and exchange files with different departments and business partners to finish one project. To avoid reworking issues and improve product quality, GAMECO is looking for cost-effective 3D design software that allows their designers to collaborate more effectively and deliver more concise designs.
The Solution
With ZW3D, less features are needed for creating models, and designers can enjoy tighter interoperability when transforming drawings from 2D designs into 3D products with much greater integrity.
