CVISION Releases PdfOptimizer for EMC Captiva 7.0
CVISION Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of software to optimize document-driven workflows and business processes, announced today the release of PdfOptimizer for EMC Captiva 7.0, a solution designed to create the highest quality PDF files possible with EMC Captiva. PdfOptimizer enables Captiva clients to reduce storage costs and create more efficient documents for corporate users.
PdfOptimizer integrates with EMC Captiva to create the most optimal PDF file possible through the combination of superior OCR and file compression technologies. The new release of PdfOptimizer now features improved file compression, Arabic OCR, and 508 compliance.
PdfOptimizer compresses black and white image files by a factor of 5x-10x and color image files by a factor of 10x-100x. By reducing file size, documents can be emailed, transmitted, and stored more efficiently. PdfOptimizer’s OCR can generate fully text-searchable files and offers four OCR modes. Each mode offers varying degrees of accuracy and speed that administrators can customize to fit their users’ needs.
