Lectra Honors Faculty and Student Achievements at the ITAA Conference in New Orleans

Lectra recently honored faculty and student achievements at the International Textile and Apparel Association (ITAA) Annual Conference. The ITAA is a professional educational association composed of leading university scholars, educators and students working in the textile, apparel and merchandising disciplines.

Lectra sponsored the event and multiple awards at the organization's 2013 Annual Conference in New Orleans during October. The conference brought together scholars, educators and students, and featured research sessions, design exhibitions and keynote addresses.

Lectra is honored to have sponsored the following faculty and graduate student awards for scholarly research:

  • Faculty Design Award: Lif-Fen (Annie Chang), University of North Texas, "The Scorpio"
  • Outstanding Graduate Student Design, Best in Show: Wen Fan, Drexel University, "Coat of Armour"
  • Outstanding Graduate Student Design, Best Use of Technology: Kristen Morris, Cornell University, "Cilia"
  • Innovation Award for Research: Elham Maqsood and Hsiou-Lien, Oregon State University, "The Impacts of Different Woven Fabrics on Three Draping Techniques"
  • Innovation Award for Teaching: Eundeok Kim, Florida State University, "Community Service Projects Integrated into Product Innovation and Management Class"
