Camper Chooses Centric Software Product Lifecycle Management
Camper, an innovative Spanish footwear company, has selected Centric Software, Inc. to provide its product lifecycle management (PLM) solution.
Designers, collection managers, and staff from costing, materials, technical development, fitting, quality and industrialization will use the Centric 8 PLM software for footwear products. Camper users also will include the company’s internal product development teams that work in the off-shore factories.
The footwear company selected Centric after extensive vendor screening, explains Sito Luis Salas, chief operating officer at Camper. “Centric 8 is easy to implement, learn and use, is flexible, and will be able to support the continuous changes Camper experiences throughout the product development process,” he says.
Camper will use the Centric 8 solution to replace outdated PLM software and spreadsheets and to support a company reorganization, according to Luis Salas. The Centric 8 solution will provide “a single version of the truth” about products, enable improved internal and external collaboration during the reorganization, and more easily integrate the off-shore development team into all changes.
