ZW3D CAD/CAM Gives Matsuya Machinery a Competitive Edge

ZWSOFT announced that its product ZW3D CAD/CAM was selected by Matsuya Machinery as its CNC machining design software.

Matsuya Machinery (Huizhou) CO., LTD. has been manufacturing flat knitting machines and glove knitting machines since 1946. This longevity and expertise has led Matsuya to demanding high quality in every aspect of their business, ranging from the software they use to their after sales service network. This strict quality control has lead Matsuya Machinery to a high reputation among their customers throughout the world.

The knitting machine industry has strict and highly specified requirements. The machines require high precision and accuracy, but have very short design cycles. The trial cost is high for these machines and need to be strictly controlled. In order for Matsuya Machinery to keep their leading position with these tough requirements, they purchased CNC machining equipment from Japan in 2008. In order to fully optimize these cutting-edge machines, Matsuya Machinery needed to find professional 3D CAD/CAM software. One of the most important features they needed in new software was an all-in-one CAD/CAM system that would help them achieve a higher efficiency.

Matsuya conducted surveys on all of the major 3D CAD software that was available to them. ZW3D impressed them with the many features they would be able to implement, especially the seamless data connection, which is exactly what they needed.

After rounds of comprehensive testing and evaluation, the engineers at Matsuya Machinery commented, “The unique overdrive kernel of ZW3D is just as good as other foreign software, such as Pro/e, UG, and Solid Works, when conducting 3D CAD design. It reduces working hours and amount of material consumed in production. As for the CAM function, ZW3D can be used to edit crucial parts such as cam, connecting rods and wallboards, which greatly enhances production speed and flexibility.”

In the highly competitive 3D CAD market, cost is also an important factor that every company needs to address. Compared to other expensive 3D CAD software, ZW3D not only met all of Matsuya Machinery’s requirements, but also gave them a more reasonable price and friendly upgrade policy that allowed Matsuya to remain competitive. It also gave the company flexibility, as they are not forced to make any future updates that they might not need. This made it possible for Matsuya Machinery to reduce their costs and place more capital and resources in other areas. After a thorough consideration, Matsuya chose ZW3D as their CNC machining design software.

When Matsuya decided to implement ZW3D in their company, a ZW3D training team was formed to help them integrate the software into their daily work. The comprehensive and custom service of ZW3D greatly reduced the initial time lost due to introduction of new software and helped avoid possible mistakes caused by unfamiliarity with the software.

Mr. Zhou, an engineer from Matsuya Machinery, thought highly of the customized training and said, “The ZW3D technical team provided very helpful training services, and they solved our problems with high efficiency. The offer of on-site training is what I am most satisfied about.
