BMW Group to Install CD-adapco Software for Engine Development
After a wide-ranging and detailed benchmarking study over an 18 month period and against a number of competing software products, we are pleased to announce that BMW Group in Munich has decided to install CD-adapco’s STAR-CD/es-ice in-cylinder analysis software for use in its Engine Development Department. The benchmark included assessment of accuracy, compared to experimental data, depth of modeling, pre/post-processing environments and efficiency.
Dr. Richard Johns, CD-adapco’s Vice President of IC Engines, said, “We are, of course, extremely pleased to have won this benchmark with one of the world’s most highly regarded vehicle OEMs and we are now working closely with BMW to integrate the STAR-CD/es-ice analysis software into their engine development environment.”
