‘Welcome Beyond’ at DEVCON 2008,Dassault Systèmes’ Annual Technology & Developers’ Conference, June 17 & 18, 2008

Dassault Systèmes (DS) announced the dates of its eighth annual DEVCON Conference, where developers, managers and partners will meet, learn and exchange about the future of 3D and PLM. DEVCON will take place at Paris’ Palais des Congrès on June 17-18, 2008.

The world of PLM is changing with the arrival of PLM 2.0 (‘PLM Online for All’) and Web 3D. DEVCON attendees will gain valuable information about these major breakthroughs through the PLM Technology Showcase, in-depth looks into Dassault Systèmes PLM 2.0 open and Web-based scalable platform, V6, as well as its first release just announced on May 29, V6R2009. Keynotes providing insight to these themes will be given by Netvibes Vice President Stefan Lechère, and Electronic Arts Concept Designer Martijn Steinrucken. In addition, DEVCON participants will be able to attend themed forum roundtables with various industry, consultant and academic opinion leaders.

The Virtual Worlds Forum will cover 3D & Serious Games, Crowd Sourcing and Virtual Shopping with participants from L’Oréal, the Standford Research Institute, Wikipedia, Carrefour Group and many others. The Ideation Forum will cover Innovation & Creation Management, Virtual & Digital Innovation, and Design Innovation with participants like the Ecole des Mines de Paris, CERN, NY University, and Quadro Consulting.
