SES ENGINEERING Studio plugin for Microsoft Word converts Microsoft Word into a professional, semantic, and easy-to-use requirements management system (RMS). Besides the powerful authoring offered by Word, the plugin allows users to define, measure, improve, and manage the quality of requirements specifications (or whatever text) within the systems engineering process using Correctness, Consistency, and Completeness (CCC) metrics. In the same way, the plugin allows full traceability of requirements with the entire set of tools connected to the suite. It allows MS Word users support for Product Line Engineering (PLE), Verification, Validation, Decision Management, Configuration Management, Reuse, and, finally, the integration of requirements engineering in a completely configurable life cycle. The SES plugin can be used by organizations not currently using any specialized tool to support the requirement management process or in those cases where there is no connector available to RM tools.
