CIMdata attended Hexagon Live 2019 from June 11-14, 2019 in Las Vegas, NV. This global event brought together more than 3,000 attendees from Hexagon’s customers and partners.

Recently, CIMdata had the opportunity to attend Dassault Systèmes’ annual PLM analyst event at their headquarters in Vélizy-Villacoublay, France. Once again, the well-organized two-day event provided an excellent update on Dassault Systèmes’ strategy and thought-leadership position in the rapidly evolving global PLM market.

CIMdata attended PTC’s LiveWorx 2019, held in Boston June 10 through 13, 2019. LiveWorx continues to grow as more and more individuals and companies—manufacturers, service and maintenance providers, technology solution developers, systems integrators, consultants, and others—want to learn more about PTC’s expanding product suite and its partnerships.

On May 29-30, 2019, CIMdata and Eurostep jointly hosted the PLM Road Map™ & PDT North America 2019 conference in the Washington D.C. metro area. The conference was well received and praised for its content. Attendees participated from a diverse range of industrial and solution provider companies, including The Boeing Company, Deere & Company, Oshkosh Defense, Cummins, and Microsoft.

Manual decision-making about whether a part can be 3D printed is tedious, slow, and error-prone and that can negatively impact the adoption of 3D printing. Wipro’s 3DAssess is a tool for automatically assessing the printability of a part based on the assessment of its 3D model, as well as assessing the manufacturability of the part based on the 3D printing machine planned for use. Additionally, Wipro’s engineering consulting service is offered for redesign of the 3D printed part based on the needs of manufacturability and/or of the part’s performance.

Infor held their annual Infor Innovation Summit event at their Chelsea offices in New York City on June 3 and 4. Approximately 65 analysts with a range of coverage areas got access to Infor’s senior leadership and selected customers over the 1.5 days. CIMdata was excited to see Infor’s progress across many fronts and looks forward to learning more at Inforum, their premier customer event, in the fall.

Recently, CIMdata attended Siemens Spotlight on Innovation 2019 at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts in Orlando, FL. The day’s events, while short, were another great illustration of the breadth of Siemens reach in many dimensions.

CIMdata attended HCL’s DFMPro annual users meeting, DFX Insights’19, in Detroit on April 16, 2019. The one-day event was focused on HCL’s DFMPro software solution created to help designers check their product designs for manufacturability and assembly, allowing problems to be found and corrected early in the product design process.

Dassault Systèmes continues to expand their business, announcing their acquisition of Medidata, a US-based leader in clinical technology used to bring new treatments to the market.

CIMdata was recently briefed on the latest and coming capabilities for Solid Edge—Siemens’ design focused mechanical computer-aided design (MCAD) solution. The new release, Solid Edge 2020, is scheduled for general availability in July 2019 and contains a broad suite of technology and functional enhancements.
