CIMdata had the pleasure of attending the IFS Industrial X Unleashed event in New York City on 14 November 2025. A crowd of about 300 customers, partners, investors, analysts, and press joined the IFS team at the Spring Studios venue in SoHo for this information-packed event.

On Thursday, 6 November 2025, PTC announced it had entered into an agreement to sell its ThingWorx and Kepware technologies to TPG, a leading global alternative asset management firm.

CIMdata attended Oracle AI World on 12-16 October 2025 at The Venetian in Las Vegas, NV. Formerly known as Oracle CloudWorld, the event drew over 20,000 attendees in person, with thousands more joining online. The event name change is consistent with Oracle’s emphasis on artificial intelligence (AI) since the introduction of generative AI (genAI) in 2022. Oracle is all-in on genAI and its use within their applications and to business problems facing their many customers.

In early October, CIMdata had the opportunity to attend SAP’s Connect event, held in Las Vegas, Nevada. SAP Connect represents the rebranding of SAP’s SuccessConnect event. This new event was attended by a few thousand people and brought together SAP practitioners, partners, media, and industry analysts from around the world. The event combined five previously independent events—Customer Experience Connect, Finance Connect, Spend Connect, Success Connect, and Supply Chain Connect. PLM’s announcements and discussions were positioned under Supply Chain Connect.

As products become more complex, connected, and software-driven, MBSE has moved from an aspirational concept to a critical enabler of competitive advantage.
