Infor today announced that the New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) has selected Infor Enterprise Asset Management software (EAM), in conjunction with Bentley Systems, Incorporated, to standardize the management of assets throughout the organization. The MTA operates the New York City subway and bus systems, and two commuter railroads which, on average, serve more than 8.6 million passengers in the City of New York and its metropolitan area, and nine toll bridges and tunnels within New York City. MTA sought a comprehensive, unified information technology approach for managing and maintaining each of the MTA operating agencies' infrastructure, vehicles, and other assets. Through the use of Infor's EAM by each of its agencies, the MTA expects to improve how its agencies manage and maintain their assets and that this will result in improved service and lower costs. In addition, EAM will enable the MTA to oversee those activities at the enterprise level. The

CGTech will be on hand at the National Leadership and Skills Conference (NLSC), June 21-23, 2016, to help grade multiple SkillsUSA/NIMS events related to Computer Numeric Control (CNC) machining. The Electronic System Design (ESD) Alliance, an international association of companies providing goods and services throughout the semiconductor design ecosystem will host an open forum, "More than Moore -- Enabling the Power of System Scaling," to identify high-priority, industry-wide activities that will enable widespread adoption of system scaling technologies. The ESD Alliance is forming a system scaling working group representing manufacturing and design areas to address practical solutions and seeks community input on direction and priorities. One of the world's leading automation companies, KUKA Aktiengesellschaft and Infosys have announced plans to jointly develop solutions. The partnership aims to develop a software platform that will allow customers to collect, evaluate and utilize data for improving their own processes. Germany-based KUKA will work to extend the connection of machines with the Cloud by establishing an Industry 4.0 Cloud Platform. These software and services will be developed by a new subsidiary of Kuka, connyun. The name connyun is derived from the English word "connect" and "yun", the Chinese term for cloud. Atos today announced that it has signed an exclusive three-year partnership agreement with ClickFox to improve its managed services through greater use of automation and robotics. With ClickFox, Atos is able to gather evidence-based insights for addressing service enhancement across its global operations by determining highest-value opportunities for robotics process automation. Oracle today announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Textura, a leading provider of construction contracts and payment management cloud services for $26.00 per share in cash. The transaction is valued at approximately $663 million, net of Textura’s cash.
