ProPlus Design Solutions, Inc. today unveiled MEPro, within its own Nano Design Environment (NDE), that bridges circuit design, CAD and process development, and lets designers quickly adopt and make full use of a process platform. For the first time, MEPro offers a common platform for circuit design, CAD and process development teams, presented in ways each of them are familiar with. They now are able to systematically evaluate any device or circuit target of one or multiple process platforms with SPICE model libraries, avoiding model misuse while leaving increased area for design margins. The product, designed for greater efficiency of flow setup and job execution, improves a designer's understanding of devices and processes, through systematic evaluation and benchmarking of process platforms at the device or circuit level. Altair today announced that its industry-leading workload management product for high-performance computing (HPC), PBS Professional®, has been chosen to manage workload for the new Cray supercomputing system to be installed at the Bureau of Meteorology (BoM), Australia's national weather, climate and water agency.                       PBS Professional was selected as part of a Cray contract to provide BoM with a Cray® XC™40 supercomputer and Cray Sonexion® 2000 storage system.
