About this release We gladly announce the bug-fix version 24.1.5, for ANSA, EPILYSIS, META, KOMVOS, and FATIQ. Known issues resolved in ANSA Modular Run Management The Build Process of Library Items would fail, when Nastran parameter name length exceeded 10 characters. Furthermore, referencing Simulation Model Build Performance, "Build Action > Check Assembly Status" function execution has been accelerated by 70%. Shell Mesh Upon “Cut” action under “Direct Edit” function, the option to provide tangential point would not work for mesh without underlying geometry. Decks ANSA would freeze during output in case Set ranges, containing ids above deck limit, existed. Laminate Tool Unexpected termination would occur when multiple layers were selected from GL area and modifications were applied in the layer attribute side panel. Cross Section “Beamify > Structure” function execution would apply the section offset incorrectly for Abaqus beams. Scripting ANSA would abort abruptly during input of multiple files along with post input script. Known issues resolved in META Decks Concerning nCode, results on elements were not loaded

ModuleWorks announces the 2025.04 release of its software components for digital manufacturing. This latest release of the ModuleWorks SDK includes new and enhanced features designed to enhance process safety, improve toolpath generation efficiency, and increase part quality. Multi-Axis Edge Finishing - Deburring User-Defined Edge Sequence With automatic sorting, it is often difficult to meet the deburring requirements of each part because the predefined order does not always match the specific needs of the job. The ModuleWorks 2025.04 release introduces a practical alternative to automatic sorting: Users can now preserve the input order of the curves, and the resulting toolpath is sorted accordingly. This gives users more flexibility, enabling them to machine edges in their preferred sequence to improve overall machining efficiency and precision.  Multi-Axis Edge Finishing - Deburring Automatic Machining Direction Previously, determining the appropriate machining direction for 3- and 4-axis toolpaths often led to suboptimal ordering, resulting in discontinuous toolpaths. ModuleWorks 2025.04 contains a new option called

In the future, the EU will require a digital product passport (DPP) for a large number of products. The DDP provides information about the components, materials and substances used in a product and how the product can be repaired, recycled and disposed of. PROSTEP does not only support the creation of DDPs but, as part of the Decide4ECO project funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection (BMWiK), has also developed an AI-based chatbot that makes this information available more quickly. At Hanover Trade Fair in Hanover, Germany, PROSTEP demonstrated how easy it is to find information in the DPP using the chatbot. Many companies will in the future be facing the challenge of using their numerous different data sources to generate a transparent digital product passport that is always up-to-date. This is because, from 2027 onwards, the EU Ecodesign Regulation will require them to record, manage and, if necessary, share
