WFX sponsored PI Apparel 2014, an event which took place in London on the 15th and 16th of July. PI Apparel is an annual event that brings attention to new technologies to help support the growing demands of the fashion industry. ZW3D today announced that it has assisted contestants to win 4 big prizes in China National 3D Industrial Design Competition. This National 3D Industrial Design Challenge is definitely the biggest event in the Chinese CAD/CAM industry, hosted by MIIT (Ministry of Industry and Information Technology), ISPA (China Industrial Software Promotion Association), along with mainstream 3D CAD/CAM providers, like ZWSOFT. The Chinese government managed to bring together 2,000 contestants, including professional designers, school teachers and CAD/CAM enthusiasts, in this challenge, in a bid to expand the application of industrial software and improve the R&D of domestic 3D CAD/CAM platforms. Recently, the challenge came to a successful conclusion with hundreds of delicate designs. CD-adapco™ announced today they have signed a collaborative development agreement with JSOL, the authors of the JMAG electromagnetics code, to jointly develop co-simulation methods in the domain to coupled thermal & electromagnetic simulations. Altair today announced 11 nominations for the 2nd Altair Enlighten Award. The award, presented in collaboration with the Center for Automotive Research (CAR), is the automotive industry's only award program created specifically to acknowledge innovations in vehicle lightweighting. The winner will be announced during the "Featherweight Competition: Agile, Light, and Strong" session of the 2014 CAR Management Briefing Seminars (MBS). The session takes place on Monday, August 4, between 1:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. at the Grand Traverse Resort & Spa in Traverse City, Mich. The Altair Enlighten Award aims to recognize achievements in weight reduction across the automotive industry, from motorcycles to passenger cars, light trucks to commercial vehicles and buses. Delcam held a successful second Orthotics Technology Forum in North America at Loyola University, Chicago, during June.  The company has now confirmed that the next meeting in the North American series will be held in partnership with the Pedorthic Association of Canada in Vancouver during 2015 at a date and venue to be finalized.
