Delcam will demonstrate the latest release of its PowerINSPECT inspection software at the IMTS exhibition to be held in Chicago from 8th to 13th September on booth E3222, the largest CAM software booth at the show.  PowerINSPECT now feature a new interface with new icons that make the software more intuitive and even easier to use.  Other enhancements in this version include the ability to create compound items and so speed up and simplify repetitive measurements. The Grand Départ of the Tour de France 2014 is coming to Cambridge on July 7th. The route runs a mere 800 metres from CAD Schroer’s offices. Lectra is pleased to announce the opening of its South Korean subsidiary. Lectra has been present in the country for more than 25 years through its exclusive agent Impa Systems. Impa’s entire staff has joined Lectra South Korea. The new subsidiary will be managed by Hong-Kwon Moon, reporting to Yves Delhaye, Lectra director for ASEAN, South Korea, India and Australia. The opening of the South Korean subsidiary will help accelerate Lectra’s development plans in Asia. The IntelliCAD Technology Consortium (ITC) announced IntelliCAD 8.0 operating in the cloud. Made available last week, thousands of users have been sampling IntelliCAD in the cloud using a local web browser with no installation or registration required.  IntelliCAD 8.0 is the most recent CAD development platform delivered by the ITC to its members. It contains over 1,200 new features and fixes that include interoperability with the latest version of .dwg files, version 2014. By using Mainframe2 technology, IntelliCAD can be run on a local computer without needing expensive hardware. Mainframe2 is designed to run any software application in the cloud with minimal internal development.
