Nemetschek Vectorworks, Inc., has announced its sponsorship of the 2014 Architectural Record Cocktail Napkin Sketch Contest for the second year in a row. Through this contest, architects and related professionals in the United States share their creative concepts on five-inch-by-five-inch cocktail napkins, which will be available to interested participants at the Vectorworks booth during the AIA Convention 2014. Past entries have included drawings of iconic buildings, sketches of ancient masterworks and studies on the design process. All winners and finalists will be published in Architectural Record and showcased in the online Cocktail Napkin Sketch Gallery. CEIIA is a private non-profit association for research and integrated product development in several technologically-intense domains, including intelligent mobility, aeronautics, and energy. HyperWorks is used mainly for finite element (FE) analysis. HyperMesh®, HyperForm®, HyperCrash®, and MotionView® are used for preprocessing tasks, while OptiStruct® and RADIOSS® are the FE solvers used within the development process. MotionSolve® enables multi-body simulations and HyperView® is employed for post-processing tasks.
