Singletree Technologies has announced that it has teamed with Pure PLM to sell and implement its Intellimas software in the Australia and New Zealand markets. Pure PLM is a leading integrator of PLM systems and has had great success implementing a variety of applications in the region. Intellimas is a data management application that eliminates inefficient functions in legacy systems and reduces an organization’s dependence on spreadsheets for core business functions. The application is configured from the ground up to help manage processes such as Sample Tracking, Product Costing, Vendor Compliance, Product Testing, WIP Tracking, and Quality Assurance. The software can bolt on to just about any PLM, ERP, SCM, RMS, or CRM system, or operate independently. “We met the principals of Pure PLM at a conference and we could tell right away that they understood the PLM market and how our Intellimas software can help that market,” said Shane Walters, CTO of Singletree Technologies.

Trimble and Bentley Systems announced today the next advance of information mobility between project design and field construction. Using Bentley’s ProjectWise collaboration servers and services, along with its i-model technology for the open exchange of infrastructure information, and Trimble’s Business Center – HCE office software, an integrated workflow for road and site construction is now possible. The U.S. Federal Highway Administration, as part of its “Every Day Counts” vision, has recognized that using 3D models with GPS-enabled heavy equipment for road construction can increase productivity by up to 50 percent. Trimble and Bentley are at the forefront of enabling this vision by joining forces to optimize the transfer of information-rich 3D engineered models to 3D constructible models. The announcement was made today at the Transportation Research Board AFB80 2014 Summer Committee Meeting. Bentley’s V8i (SELECTSeries 3) civil engineering software, powered by OpenRoads, generates i-models from detailed designs that are managed by ProjectWise and can be easily transferred to Business Center

Datakit announces availability of the 2014.3 version of Datakit converters, bringing many enhancements and improvements with special focus on improved support of the Siemens PLM Software™ JT format with more information supported. Datakit is now able to read semantic PMI(Product Manufacturing Information) contained in JT files, as well as axis information and textures. The JT writing as also been improved in multiple ways. PMI writing (Dimensions, annotations, symbols, Datum targets…) has been enhanced semantically, axis information is supported and it is possible to write JT files with a preset 3D view (ModelView). These improvements will allow software vendors integrating Datakit technology (CrossCad/Ware) to support a comprehensive set of information related to JT files into or out of their software. End users of CrossManager, the Datakit standalone software, will also benefit. They can now convert JT files to the format they want, keeping the information contained in the original files, or inversely, translate files from other CAD systems in JT models with comprehensive data support. Datakit supports JT format from versions 6.4 to 9.5.
