Vero Software is rolling out a new high speed 3D viewer which directly displays and evaluates 3D CAD files without the need for the original CAD application. PartXplore can open the native files of Edgecam, VISI and WorkNC, with further brands in the Vero portfolio expected to follow suit in 2016 R2. PartXplore has been created to efficiently import and analyse all file types and sizes at high speed. It often takes less than half the time to open a file compared to the original CAD application. CCE has updated its SOLIDWORKS ODX libraries with several enhancements. “CCE’s purpose is to continuously stay current with market trends in order to provide our customerswith the best possible software; therefore, we strive to align our software features with the needsof our users by constantly enhancing support for significantly used CAD software, such as SOLIDWORKS.  CCE’s ODX libraries now have enhanced PMI support for SOLIDWORKS 2016, which is very important given the increasing focus on Model Based Designs (MBD) and enterprises investing in creating richly annotated 3D models,” said Vinay Wagle, CCE’s VP of Sales and Marketing. Among the many new developments to be shown by Delcam on stand 4011 at MACH will be a new method for machining blisks that offers substantial savings in both cycle time and cost.  The new method, which has been developed by Delcam in association with tooling supplier Technicut, covers the machining of the blisk from start to finish and combines new tooling concepts from Technicut with advanced machining strategies in Delcam’s PowerMILL CAM software for the rough, semi-finish and finish machining of integrally bladed rotors.
