MathWorks today announced that the Swedish National Infrastructure for Computing (SNIC) has selected MATLAB and MATLAB Distributed Computing Server as vehicles to enable researchers at all Swedish universities to utilize resources at the national data centers for high-performance computing (HPC) and to more effectively collaborate with colleagues across the country. SNIC is a national research infrastructure created to provide a balanced and cost-efficient set of resources and user support for large-scale computation and data storage. With data centers located at six key research universities, SNIC meets the needs of researchers from all scientific disciplines through an open-application procedure to ensure that the best research is supported. Starting in April, MATLAB Distributed Computing Server will be available in SNIC’s six data centers, allowing researchers to run their computationally intensive MATLAB® programs on SNIC’s high-performance computing clusters. Delcam is delighted to announce that precision engineering specialist Impcross has standardised on the company’s software for its future design and programming needs.  The order for multiple seats of Delcam’s PowerSHAPE design software, and the PowerMILL and FeatureCAM programming systems was confirmed during the recent MACH exhibition. Dassault Systèmes today announced that its advanced 3D design and simulation software was used to recreate the technological and engineering innovations of WWII as a part of the seventieth anniversary of D-Day and the Invasion of Normandy. Technip has chosen Tekla as its building information modeling (BIM) partner and provider. Establishing a strategic partnership, this global contract applies to Technip subsidiaries and offices all around the world.
