Geometric Limited will premier CAMWorks Virtual Machine along with the latest version of its programming solution, CAMWorks® 2014, at DIEMOULD INDIA 2014 in Mumbai, India from April 17-20, 2014. CAMWorks Virtual Machine enables users to verify the true G-code, not only the CL data, and save precious shop floor time by checking on complex machine settings, sub-programs, canned cycles and work offsets in a virtual environment. This allows the user to preview the entire machining process and make any necessary changes or adjustments before the part goes to the shop floor, preventing time-consuming errors and costly collisions; thus, potentially saving hundreds of hours for our customers and ensuring manufacture of parts right the first time. In addition, it is integrated completely with CAMWorks, making it a single-click verification and easy to use. Visitors at DieMould India will get an opportunity to connect with solutions experts and learn how they can minimize their

PDF3D have been busy this spring with yet another feature development. This time, the 3D developers have enhanced their ParaView derived product PV+ which now enables COMSOL users to easily create interactive 3D reports in Adobe's PDF. COMSOL, which was released by Comsol Multiphysics in 1998, allows professionals who work with structural mechanics, electromagnetics, fluid flow, heat transfer, MEMS and acoustics to visually manage their workflow using COMSOL Multiphysics analysis software. COMSOL users are currently able to create screen shots and movie files that can be shared with others however, to get real 3D interaction in a report, the pathways to do this are rare, which is where PDF3D's PV+ comes in. "We've developed two main pathways for COMSOL Multiphysics to enable 3D PDF Report generation," explained Ian Curington of PDF3D, "the first of these uses a customized and extended version of ParaView which contains a COMSOL format loader and a large library

ANSYS® HFSS™ users can reduce design time and cost while optimizing complete electronic system performance, thanks to linear circuit simulation included with the latest version of this software.  With a more streamlined simulation workflow, engineers can focus on enhancing complete system reliability and signal quality as well as analyzing electromagnetic interference.  New HFSS product options for radio frequency (RF) and signal integrity (SI) analyses are also available — making high-frequency (HF) and high-speed electronic device design even more comprehensive.  For many years, engineers have used disparate technologies and extensive lab testing when designing wireless and electronic devices.  However, as product speed and densities increased, fast and accurate electromagnetic analysis became essential to predict HF effects that traditional circuit simulation neglected like electrical coupling, electromagnetic interference, and radiation.  The latest version of HFSS with circuit simulation addresses these challenges by combining the accuracy of electromagnetic analysis with the speed and capacity of circuit

The latest version of HyperWorks, to be highlighted at the Aircraft Interiors Expo 2014 April 8-10 (Altair booth 6D60), represents the most advanced evolution of computer-aided engineering (CAE) technology applicable to the aerospace industry. HyperWorks provides a comprehensive suite of tools for every phase of aircraft innovation, from initial concept generation through the entire product lifecycle. Aircraft manufacturers are using the suite for weight reduction and design with composites; modern structural modeling and automated design processes; and stress, mechanism and vulnerability simulation. Software tools in the integrated HyperWorks suite are advancing the ways in which aircraft are designed, accelerating the adoption of advanced materials, such as laminated composites, to meet industry goals of reducing the weight of components and structures for greater fuel efficiency and passenger comfort. "While composites are a major focal point for HyperWorks and the aviation industry, our product suite offers much more," said Shan Nageswaran, Senior Director, Altair HyperWorks for Aerospace.
