Virtual product development is becoming increasingly important in the apparel industry. The Human Solutions Group now presents the outstanding features of its simulation software Vidya in detail on its own website at www.vidya-software.com. The high-resolution images are convincing: shirts, pants, dresses and coats – almost any garment can now be very accurately simulated with a high degree of realism. The decisive factor about Vidya is the interaction of human, material and pattern, because the program doesn’t access just any generic avatars – upon request, it’s delivered with a scanatar studio that corresponds to the standard sizes of SizeGERMANY. And there’s more too – the body shapes are designed to exactly match those of the human body, the materials are imaged according to their stiffness and drape behavior – and any pattern and style changes are immediately visible. Vidya simulates all the folds, seam types, darts, buttonholes and zippers as if they were
