Lorenzo Pons is the Head of the Design Methods & Tools department at Safran Helicopter Engines (Safran), where he is also the Engineering Process IT Urbanization leader. In 2015, Lorenzo and his colleague, Eric Laffargue, were put in charge of defining the IT/IS strategy for the company’s engineering process. Lorenzo joined Safran after working for Fluent France (now ANSYS) and Assystem. Lorenzo's background and experience is in computational fluids and solid mechanics, as well as PLM/CAD systems.
Lorenzo has a degree in Aerospace Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid in Spain and a degree in Energetics and Propulsion Engineering from INSA Rouen in France.
