Aras, a leading provider of digital thread solutions for product lifecycle management (PLM) and engineering AI, announced new services built on Aras InnovatorEdge (“Edge”) that enable secure, governed access to PLM data and workflows across the value chain while supporting the scalable adoption of agentic AI.
Edge extends Aras Innovator with a set of cloud-delivered governance and API utilities that connect digital threads to external users, developers, applications, and AI resources. Edge delivers controlled, contextualized access to product data wherever it resides while preserving traceability, permissions, and business context.
These new Edge services are designed to simplify and accelerate how Aras Innovator is extended and integrated for new users and cloud resources:
- Aras InnovatorEdge API Manager (Edge API): A cloud-delivered, low-code service for quickly defining and managing APIs that securely expose Aras Innovator data and digital thread services to external applications or agents.
- Aras InnovatorEdge App Builder (Edge Builder): A SaaS-based development environment for rapidly building, hosting, and publishing lightweight, task-based apps that natively consume Edge APIs.
- Aras InnovatorEdge AI (Edge AI): A suite of services for building, deploying, running, and governing agentic workflows and AI services across the Aras Innovator PLM ecosystem.
