New Procore AI Experience Embeds Datagrid into Procore

Procore Technologies, Inc., the leading global provider of construction management software, announced an expanded Procore AI experience, introducing a new suite of AI agents powered by embedded Datagrid intelligence and built directly into Procore. This new experience gives customers access to agentic AI capable of executing work, coordinating workflows, and taking action across projects in real time.

What differentiates Procore AI is the intelligence underneath it. Built leveraging its vast construction data set, Procore AI brings construction-specific context that horizontal AI tools cannot replicate. Combined with the embedded Datagrid intelligence layer, this foundation brings AI directly into the flow of work, helping teams reduce manual effort, accelerate execution, and stay focused on building.

Construction is one of the world’s most essential industries, building the homes, hospitals, schools, and infrastructure society depends on. But at a time when demand is accelerating, the industry faces severe capacity constraints, including persistent labor shortages and decades of stagnant productivity growth. At the same time, project teams are stretched thin while managing massive volumes of information buried across specs, drawings, RFIs, and project documentation—making it increasingly difficult to turn data into action. Procore AI is designed to cut through that complexity by automating workflows like submittals, RFIs, and contract reviews so teams can move faster and help keep projects on track.

Unlike traditional chatbots that only answer questions, Procore’s agentic AI combines Datagrid’s intelligence layer with two new foundational capabilities:

  • Actions: Enable agents to execute live steps inside Procore and connected systems, such as updating records, generating documents, and coordinating workflows.
  • Triggers: Enable agents to automatically respond to events in Procore—such as new submittals, RFIs, or change order—based on project context and customer-defined rules.

“Most AI tools in construction today behave like chatbots on top of disconnected data,” said Thiago da Costa, SVP of AI & Data at Procore. “Our approach is different. These systems are designed to understand what’s happening in Procore, decide what needs to be done, and take action directly within the platform. With Datagrid embedded into Procore, teams no longer need to rely on separate third-party AI tools to get answers or move work forward on their projects."

Bringing Agentic AI to Construction Teams

Realizing the value of agentic AI shouldn’t require a massive implementation effort. Procore AI makes it simple with the click of a button, giving teams access to an expanding library of advanced agents and AI capabilities designed to help automate high-friction tasks directly within the software they already use to get their jobs done.

Our AI-first strategy brings human-in-the-loop oversight and uses AI to eliminate administrative friction, not replace professional judgment. Responses include citations back to source documents and project records, and agents require human consent before actions are finalized. This approach helps accelerate execution while ensuring project teams retain control, accountability, and final decision-making. Examples of agents include:

  • Deep Search Agent: Searches across specifications, drawings, and RFIs from within Procore. It consolidates relevant references, highlights conflicts, and links back to exact source files.
  • Submittal Reviewer Agent: Reviews new submittals against project specifications, generating review summaries and flagging discrepancies directly within the submittal record.
  • RFI Agent: Checks RFIs for completeness and clarity. It suggests edits and attaches relevant documents to help reduce back‑and‑forth cycles.
  • Daily Log Agent: Aggregates photos, emails, and voice notes to draft daily logs inside Procore for human review and finalization.
  • Contract Review Agent: Helps spot risks early by acting as an AI co-reviewer that identifies contract conflicts and adds resolution-oriented comments directly within your contracts, drawings, and specs.

“We tested the RFI Agent on a real-world discrepancy between drawings and specifications, and the output was exactly what a project engineer would be looking for," said Gary Daly, Senior Project Manager at Bernard’s. "It identified the issue, recommended issuing an RFI, and even suggested the right questions to ask the design team. That level of context has the potential to help teams resolve ambiguity faster and reduce delays before they impact the jobsite.”

"We used the platform to build a submittal review agent around Level 10's internal workflows, standards, and coordination requirements. We ran 10 submittal reviews in an hour using our agent, easily saving 12 hours of work for our team," said Jacob Freitas, Project Executive at general contractor Level 10 Construction. "On a recent project, it also caught critical errors, helping us avoid a full week of potential delays."

Datagrid natively embedded in the Procore platform is currently in private beta, with broader availability and additional AI capabilities expected beginning this summer for customers to purchase. Existing Datagrid Pro and Enterprise offerings remain available for customers seeking comprehensive AI capabilities today, with pricing based on a credit consumption model.
