Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA 17 August 2023—CIMdata, Inc., the leading global Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) strategic management consulting and research firm, announces the appointment of Alan Mendel as its Chief Revenue Officer reporting to President & CEO, Peter Bilello.
Over his 36-year career, Alan has served in various management roles at Aras Corporation, LeverX, CIMdata, Schlumberger CAD/CAM, Groupe Bull, and Adra Systems. He’s developed and implemented world-class PLM/CAD/CAM software, consulted and assisted international organizations to establish PLM and digital transformation initiatives, select solutions and service providers, and has driven business benefits generating global PLM deployments.
Most recently, Alan served as Vice President of Business Development at Aras Corporation, responsible for Aras’ Defense business, analyst relations, defining a global coverage model, Go to Market strategy, and sales operations model. During his first four years at Aras, Alan served as Vice President of North American Operations, responsible for all North American revenues.
Prior to Aras, Alan co-founded LeverX, a professional services company and integrator focused on SAP PLM solutions and custom software for global discrete and process manufacturers.
Alan previously worked for CIMdata (1993-2001), where he led global consulting services, supported the global expansion of services and market presence, developed a multistage PLM evaluation and selection process, and grew CIMdata’s business for industrial organizations worldwide.
