Kontron has announced the acquisition of Altimate, a Romanian company for urban and interurban mobility solutions. Altimate generated revenues of EUR 19.6 million and an EBITDA of EUR 1.8 million in 2022. The purchase price is EUR 11.64 million. This acquisition is another addition to our fast-growing high-margin segment “Software + Solutions” and further strengthens the transportation business. Altimate is a market leader in urban and interurban mobility solutions with over 20 years of expertise offering software products and solutions for urban traffic control, automated fare collection, tolling solutions, and traffic violations solutions. Its diversified portfolio serves a broad customer base in various areas such as airports, maritime ports, public transport, and tolling. Level 2 adds three new elements to the game – water supply lines, sanitary sewer pipes, and active roof drainage to gutters. The players will account for required clearance of both of these pipes when designing their stormwater system and finish the level while dealing with even more water flowing onto the roadway. Level 3 expands on level 2 to with more houses and terrain, and requires the use of culverts and ditches. This expansion requires players to learn about placing culverts in ditches and how storm water interacts with them. Rockwell Automation has made a $20,000 donation to the Red Cross to support relief efforts following the recent earthquake in Morocco, the country’s deadliest earthquake in more than a century. The company will also match employee donations. On Sept. 8, the 6.8-magnitude earthquake struck just south of Marrakech, Morocco. The epicenter was within the Moroccan High Atlas Mountain range, roughly 75 kilometers (46 miles) from the popular tourist and economic hub of Marrakech. The death toll in Morocco has reached 2,900 with an additional 5,500 injured.
