MSC Software Corporation today announced that DGA AIA, the French defense procurement agency within the French Ministry of Defense that conducts maintenance, repair and modification of military aircrafts, has selected MSC Apex. The solution will expedite the process of certifying aircraft modifications while reducing extensive physical tests. DGA AIA has chosen MSC Apex Modeler for the finite element modeling of any modification that needs to be structurally certified. With its direct modeling and automatic remeshing, engineers shorten the time to create and redesign their models and improve the precision of aircraft modifications. They can write calculation reports with respect to the static, fatigue or vibration requirements of their clients, which is one of the documents requested to certify the safe flight of military aircrafts. Wipro Infrastructure Engineering (WIN), hydraulic solutions provider and part of Wipro Enterprise, today announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire HR Givon (Givon), an Israel-headquartered manufacturer of metallic parts and assemblies for the Aerospace industry, in an all-cash deal. Givon manufactures structural parts and assemblies which form part of the fuselage, wings and empennage of an aircraft. Open Text Corporation announced today its financial results for the fourth quarter and fiscal year ended June 30, 2016. "Fiscal 2016 was a pivotal year for OpenText, in constant currency, we grew revenues 3% and created a more efficient business and expanded our adjusted operating margin by 240 bps. More importantly, we believe we have created the foundation for Fiscal 2017 to be a double-digit growth year led by M&A," said OpenText CEO & CTO Mark J.
