Wipro Digital, the digital business unit of Wipro Ltd. announced that it has been appointed by the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) as its official digital technology services partner for three years. LTA, the governing body for Tennis in Great Britain, is looking to develop an IT and digital roadmap to drive its strategy, which focuses on increasing participation in the sport of Tennis. Wipro Ltd. announced that it has won a contract from T-Mobile Poland to provide integrated Applications and Infrastructure services. Wipro has committed to T-Mobile a significant improvement of its legacy application consolidation & rationalization, transforming its operating model from application-focus to domain-focus leading to better customer service. Science Applications International Corp. was awarded three prime contracts for the Tank and Automotive Command (TACOM) Strategic Service Solutions (TS3) family of contracts.  These contracts will provide the U.S. Army a variety of services and solutions to support the TACOM Life Cycle Management Command, the Program Executive Offices for Ground Combat Systems, Combat Support & Combat Service Support, System of Systems Engineering & Integration, and the Tank Automotive Research and Development Command (TARDEC). The multiple-award, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contracts cover three individual service areas: a knowledge based services contract worth a total of $1.8 billion; an equipment related services contract worth a total of $1.1 billion; and a research & development services contract worth a total of $634 million. PTC® announced that Airbus Helicopters, a division of Airbus Group is using the PTC Windchill® PLM solution in the development of its newly unveiled H160 rotorcraft. “PTC is pleased to serve as a strategic partner to Airbus Helicopters and to deliver the world-class technology solutions and services to support this critical phase of the H160 development” The use of the PTC Windchill PLM backbone has enabled Airbus Helicopters to drive improvements in digital continuity and collaboration between the design office, production and support teams of the H160 program. The PTC Windchill solution also supports the Airbus Helicopter goal for highest maturity of the H160 at entry into service which is planned for 2018, and preparations for the serial production ramp-up and support for its in-service helicopters. Delcam will launch the 2016 version of its PowerMILL programming software for five-axis and high-speed machining at the Manufacturing & Engineering North East exhibition to be held at the Metro Radio Arena, Newcastle, on 8th and 9th July. The main enhancement in PowerMILL 2016 will be the ability to mirror complete machining projects in one operation and to maintain automatically the machining characteristics, for example to choose automatically whether climb or conventional milling should be used. Previously, only individual toolpaths could be mirrored. Automatic mirroring will save considerable time whenever right- and left-hand versions are needed of a part or tool. It will also be faster to program the machining of symmetrical objects since it will be possible to program one half and then mirror the toolpaths to complete the program. CSA Group, a global provider of testing and certification services and a leading standards development organization,  continues its growth in Europe by opening a new EMC testing chamber in Strasskirchen, Bayern, Germany. CSA Group Bayern operates one of Europe's largest state-of-the-art EMC testing centers. The new 560-square meter lab building allows for testing of large objects including passenger cars of all sizes. It will enable CSA Group to address the growing market demand resulting from increased connectivity of products and solutions.
