AVEVA announced today that BashNIPIneft LLC, a Research and Design Institute for leading Russian Oil and Gas company Bashneft, has implemented AVEVA Everything3D (AVEVA E3D) and AVEVA Laser Modeller. The AVEVA software has been used to facilitate a number of upgrade and modernization projects on Russian plants. BashNIPIneft required technology that could be implemented quickly to fully capture the as-built condition of the existing plant and provide full laser data integration with the 3D modelling environment. Designers were able to immediately assess all the work required on the facility using accurate data. This saved time by significantly minimising rework in the design office and increasing quality of the deliverables by enabling more transparent and effective processes for engineering and design work. “BashNIPIneft had no previous experience with laser software for brownfield project upgrades.
