Rand Worldwide today announced that its courseware division, ASCENT – Center for Technical Knowledge, has released over 30 Autodesk Official Training Guides (AOTG) in the past four months for Autodesk’s 2016 software. Autodesk, Inc. announced that its cloud-based CAD/CAM/CAE software called Fusion 360 is available for free in India for makers, creative hobbyists and SMBs working on a product that is not yet commercially available with revenues of less than USD 100,000 per year. This was announced at Autodesk University (AU) India 2015, which is the company’s annual event for India’s design and engineering industry. Autodesk also announced that it is teaming up with the Fab Foundation to make Autodesk's cloud and mobile software available to more than 500 Fab Labs around the world and their members. Officials from Machining Cloud announce that it has joined the Siemens Software Solution Partner Program as a Software and Technology Partner.  As part of the partnership, Machining Cloud provides an excellent source for the 3D content necessary to quickly develop cutting tool assemblies, workholding, and fixture assembly models for Siemens PLM Software's Solid Edge software, a 3D CAD system for the mainstream market. In the first half of 2015, CENIT AG has continued its positive EBIT development. This rose by around 14% to EUR k 4,864. Equally pleasing is the significant increase by 25.5% in the sale of proprietary software. Compared to the same period last year, the Group generated consistent sales. The PLM segment recorded a slight increase by 0.4%, while in the EIM segment revenues fell by 5.5%. During the first six months, CENIT group generated sales revenues of EUR k 59,183 (prior year: EUR k59, 700/-0.9%). Sales revenues in CENITs consulting and services segment decreased by -5.8% to EUR k25, 368 (prior year: EUR k 26,926). Sales of third-party software sank by approx. -1.5% to EUR k 25,984(prior year: EUR k 26,367). Sales proceeds from CENIT’s proprietary software increased from EUR k 6,141to EUR k 7,707 (25.5%). 3D Systems Corporation announced today its financial results for the second quarter and first six months of 2015. For the second quarter of 2015, the company reported revenue of $170.5 million, an increase of 13% over the comparable quarter in 2014, or a 22% increase on a constant currency basis. The company reported a GAAP loss of $0.12 per share and non-GAAP earnings of $0.03 per share. A challenging operating environment contributed to an overall decline in organic revenue of 5% compared with the second quarter of 2014. At constant currency rates, organic growth was 2% for the second quarter. Strengthening demand for the company's products and services resulted in a 25% increase in revenue in EMEA, compared to the second quarter of 2014.
