Dassault Systèmes SA announces its plan to change the legal status of the Company from that a French Public Limited Company (Société anonyme) to that of a European Company.
On March 21, 2014, the Board of Directors of Dassault Systèmes SA agreed to adopt the status of European Company (Societas Europaea, SE), a designation that better represents the international dimension of the Company and its growing presence in Europe driven by recent acquisitions. The SE designation is supported by European Union authorities and has been adopted by numerous major groups.
Present in 140 countries with more than 190,000 customers worldwide, and with strong European roots, Dassault Systèmes today has a truly global presence through its markets, customers, research centers, laboratories, ecosystems of partners, and regional offices.
The transformation into a European Company has no impact on governance or stock market listing.
The draft terms of conversion were filed with the Commercial Registry of Versailles on March 27, 2014. The conversion should be submitted to the shareholders’ meeting of Dassault Systèmes SA for approval in 2015.
