Tech Soft 3D announces that the newly-released HOOPS Publish v7.2 provides powerful options that give developers even more control over their applications’ 3D PDF output. New features enable complex and highly-customized 3D PDF templates that more completely and accurately convey all aspects of a project’s 3D data – ideal for an MBE (Model-Based Enterprise) approach to engineering. With this latest release, developers can create:
- Buttons within the PDF document during authoring using a high-level API.
- A custom “carousel” of desired views of the model without the need to write JavaScript.
- Buttons, hotspots and editable text fields within cells in a table.
- Slide tables that can contain an unlimited number of rows but still fit within a set size in the PDF.
- Digital Rights Management – all native DRM features are now exposed, allowing maximum security and rights management.
“Our objective is to expand the possibilities of 3D PDF by giving developers the flexibility to respond to their users’ needs,” says Gavin Bridgeman, Tech Soft 3D VP of Products. “These latest enhancements help developers create value by reimagining how data can be captured and shared for greater efficiency throughout a project workflow.”
Mark Stowe, CTO of Theorem Solutions, says, “At Theorem Solutions we are spearheading a new era of intelligent information exchange based on 3D PDF as part of our latest Publish 3D products. Powered by the HOOPS Publish libraries, Publish 3D allows 3D PDFs to be generated from all major CAD systems, allowing users to view, mark-up and distribute rich CAD data with all the ease, rights control and data-protection managed by Adobe® through their ubiquitous Adobe Reader®.”
