Scotch & Soda, the Dutch fashion company, has selected Centric Software to provide its product lifecycle management (PLM) software.
The Amsterdam-based fashion brand will implement the Centric 8 PLM solution throughout its women’s wear, men’s wear and children’s wear product groups. Users will include styling, product development and sourcing teams. The company also will extend Centric 8 to its agents and suppliers.
Scotch & Soda will use the Centric 8 PLM software for retail, apparel and footwear companies to support its growth and geographical expansion, according to Duco Habbema, head of sourcing. “Centric 8 will help to expand the product range, streamline the product development process, increase productivity, and improve collaboration within and between internal and external teams.”
“Centric provides a solution that allows the design staff to remain creative while providing improved insight into the upcoming collection for buying and production teams,” Habbema says. “Additionally, Centric 8 will improve our ability to collaborate with agents and suppliers, a key to Scotch & Soda’s continued success.”
Scotch & Soda chose Centric as its PLM partner after an extensive selection process, explains Habbema. “Centric clearly offers the most comprehensive product for this industry,” he states. “Coupled with the best consulting team in the industry, this made the decision quite easy for Scotch & Soda.”
The Dutch company also cited Centric’s mobile apps. “Centric’s mobile application strategy is light years ahead of any other in the market,” says Erik de Graff, head of information technology for Scotch & Soda. Centric has introduced six mobile apps for the Centric 8 PLM solution: Capture It for iPhone Mobile App; Collection Book iPad Mobile App; Sample Review Mobile App; Factory Audit Mobile App; Switchboard Mobile App; and Material Sample Mobile App.
“Centric is proud to have won the trust of a prestigious brand like Scotch & Soda,” says Chris Groves, president and CEO of Centric. “Scotch & Soda will benefit tremendously from the ‘single source of truth’ that Centric 8 offers,” he explains. “The ability to achieve greater alignment between the company’s development and buying teams in Amsterdam, and its agents and suppliers in Asia, with allow Scotch & Soda to move forward confidently.”
