allsafe JUNGFALK, a specialist for load restraint systems, places its trust in CIM DATABASE PLM. The mid-sized company uses CONTACT`s CAD data and document management solution, including ERP synchronization, and is planning further system enhancements relating to paperless production, classification and project management.
allsafe JUNGFALK's objective is to establish a more consistent product creation process and simplify collaboration between development and production. In the long term, it is intended that all technical data, documents and workflows relating to the product portfolio be made available in CIM DATABASE PLM in a way that is audit-trail capable throughout the company. To do this, the company recently first put the CAD data and document management solution with an MS Office link, project-specific storage, extraction of BOMs and neutral formats, followed by integration with the ERP system abas, into operation.
As the next step, allsafe JUNGFALK will implement the concept of paperless production. This will involve installing additional workstations in the production department to give employees direct access to all the information relating to a production order, such as CAD drawings for example. It is also intended that CIM DATABASE, as the basis for variant management, in the future also support classification and searches for frequently used parts based on article characteristics, as well as integrated project management.
allsafe JUNGFALK relies on CONTACT Workspaces for CATIA data management, thus providing optimal support to the development team. "This was a priority when it came to choosing a system," says Jürgen Meister, the project manager responsible for rolling out a PLM system at the allsafe Group. "From a management perspective, however, a key decision criterion was above all the prospect of forward compatibility that CONTACT offers us with CIM DATABASE in a PLM environment," emphasizes Bernd Forster, CIO of the allsafe Group.
