Mascaró, the Spanish designer and manufacturer of high-quality women’s footwear, has selected Centric Software to provide its product lifecycle management (PLM) software.
Mascaró selected Centric because it is easy to use, visually attractive and flexible enough to support continuous changes between collections, says Ursula Mascaró, the company’s artistic director. “Centric is the right fit. The Centric staff has an excellent reputation. They know the market, know the industry, and maintain tremendous expertise.”
The company joins Camper, Cortefiel and MANGO as Centric’s fourth Spanish customer, and second Spanish footwear customer. Mascaró will use the Centric 8 PLM software for retail, fashion and footwear makers to enhance visibility and increase efficiency throughout the product development process.
“The instantaneous view on collection status and fully consolidated information mean our teams can move away from reliance on spreadsheets,” says Julio de Olives, managing director of Mascaró. As a result, he explains, the company will reduce the number of low-value re-keying and administrative tasks, and the number of iterations for samples and prototypes. Both internal users and suppliers will use Centric 8 PLM.
Bosco Moll Gomila, Mascaró’s design director, concurs. “The ability of Centric 8 to track all the styles Mascaró creates in every collection throughout the year will allow staff to focus on the job of developing great footwear.” Centric 8 takes on particular importance as the company continues to grow on a global basis and looks to double its collections, he adds.
“Centric 8 is an excellent match for a vertically integrated business such as Mascaró,” says Chris Groves, president and CEO of Centric. “The Centric software will allow Mascaró to maintain its focus on creating quality designer footwear as the company continues on its global growth path.”
