EMC® Documentum® customers now have end-to-end visibility into the response times of individual Documentum Foundation Classes (DFC) and SQL server transactions with a new capability announced by leading enterprise content management (ECM) application management provider Reveille Software.
“For organizations with customer-facing, business-critical web clients, it is crucial to get ahead of issues that negatively impact performance, revenue generation or end-user satisfaction,” said Melissa Sterrett Baron, Senior Director of Product Management for Reveille Software. “Reveille’s deep visibility into DFC processing delivers objective and actionable data for faster issue resolution, capacity planning, and correlation between server transactions and server resources.”
Prior to Reveille’s new capability, organizations were able to analyze round-trip response times from the web application server to the Documentum web application. Now, organizations with large web client user communities using Documentum WebTop, Documentum D2, CMIS, xCP, EMC InfoArchive, or REST-based applications with Documentum can assess performance of individual transactions through each of the Documentum platform tiers, including the DFC and SQL server database.
Reveille for Documentum auto-discovers organizations’ unique Documentum transaction flows and builds graphical representations to visually display processing performance. Combined with management dashboards and key performance indicator scorecards, organizations can identify trends in volume and usage across their infrastructure. In addition, the solution proactively notifies key stakeholders when performance thresholds are exceeded.
“With our strong partnership with EMC, Reveille developed its approach to tracking and translating EMC’s proprietary DFC processing to deliver Documentum administrators and operations executives unmatched insight into the end-to-end response time of Documentum transactions,” continued Baron.
The capability expands on Reveille’s proven application management solutions that drive optimized ECM performance and end-user experience for hundreds of organizations using EMC Documentum, EMC Captiva®, EMC InfoArchive, EMC Document Sciences® xPression®, IBM® Content Manager, IBM® FileNet® P8, Kofax, and Microsoft® SharePoint®.
Reveille will host a webinar on March 10, 2015, at 10:00 am ET to educate the market how end-to-end Documentum performance visibility can benefit organizations in various business use cases.
The release follows the recent announcement that Reveille was issued a U.S. patent from the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office for agentless Reveille Collectors, which revolutionize the collection and aggregation of data and delivery of ECM management information.
