Linx-AS, LLC, formally announces the addition of Klaus Brettschneider as director and SAP PLM practice leader.
Brettschneider will be responsible for extending the scope of the company's PLM consulting practice by ensuring the effective delivery of services to clients in discrete manufacturing industries. Brettschneider is assured that the strategic approach Linx-AS practices in process PLM will translate well on the discrete side. He expressed his enthusiasm for broadening the company's client base in a statement saying, "There are more similarities between discrete and process industries when it comes to PLM than most people think. I am excited to apply a strong engineering foundation to the proven PLM delivery methodologies at Linx-AS."
Klaus has a long history of improving engineering and design processes for discrete manufacturers in Europe and the US with multiple software packages. Before joining Linx-AS, Klaus held several directorial positions at CIDEON, a German-based engineering company focusing on software services for CAD applications. He eventually served as president & CEO of CIDEON America, where he drove CIDEON's business expansion into North American SAP PLM markets, building a reputable software sales and consulting team.
"The demand we are seeing in discrete PLM has made it a strategic growth area for us, and Klaus is the perfect complement to our leadership team," states Dave Wong, senior vice president of SAP solutions at Linx-AS. Wong continues, "The value we can now deliver in both the discrete and process PLM areas is certainly among the best in the industry, and within the SAP space itself, I'd argue it is the best."
Klaus holds a Dipl.-Ing. (FH) degree in mechanical engineering and a minor in environmental protection from Bundeswehr University of Munich. He has over 15 years of software and consulting experience.
