Tech Soft 3D announced the acquisition of tetra4D and its line of 3D PDF products, including 3D PDF Converter - the world's only solution for converting native 3D CAD data into rich, interactive 3D PDF documents from within Adobe Acrobat.
Through this acquisition, Tech Soft 3D will begin working directly with regional resellers, current Tech Soft 3D HOOPS customers, and end users to expand and improve its suite of 3D PDF-related offerings. Specific announcements regarding plans will be forthcoming in the near future.
“The team at tetra4D has done an excellent job of driving global awareness and adoption of 3D PDF Converter as the de-facto solution for document-based 3D collaboration in both the enterprise and supply chain market,” said Tech Soft 3D VP of Corporate Development, Dave Opsahl. “As the adoption of 3D PDF continues to grow so dramatically within enterprises, we felt the time was right for us to expand our reach in the marketplace. The acquisition of tetra4D will allow Tech Soft 3D to quickly get close to enterprise customers and innovate to meet their needs. We look forward to building direct relationships with customers and integrating their ideas into future releases.”
“In 2010, Adobe made the right call outsourcing the continued development and delivery of 3D PDF to seasoned professionals in the PLM industry,” stated Greg Baker, President and Co-founder of tetra4D. Baker added, “My tetra4D team rapidly built a profitable global business around 3D PDF Converter, fueled by a strong belief that 3D PDF is the best possible solution for 3D collaboration in the enterprise. Our development partner, Tech Soft 3D has the resources and expertise to take 3D PDF Converter to the next level and exceed customer expectations. I am excited to see tetra4D take the next step in its growth trajectory as an integral part of Tech Soft 3D, and look forward to the future.”
