CIMdata, Inc., the leading global PLM strategic management consulting and research firm, announces that Inphi’s Director of Technology, Dr. Robb Johnson, will make a presentation at PLM Road Map™ for the High Tech Electronics (HTE) Community. The event will take place on June 16th at the Biltmore Hotel & Suites in Santa Clara, California.
Inphi designs and manufactures high-speed, mixed signal semiconductor components for the optical, networking, and memory interconnect platforms. Inphi uses Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software to manage traditional PLM functions like new product development, bill of materials, and document management. However, Inphi has gone beyond the traditional application and uses PLM to manage a wide variety of non-traditional processes including legal and contract management, asset and equipment management, quality management, supplier management, and training.
In his presentation, “Doing PLM in a BIG Way,” Johnson will offer insight into the reasons why Inphi decided to adopt a company-wide PLM solution. The presentation will also include a review of the benefits gained by this approach. In addition, examples of some existing workspaces will be demonstrated and future plans will be discussed.
As Director of Technology for Inphi, Johnson acts as the technical interface to their semiconductor foundries and is responsible for new foundry and process selection, qualification, and on-going support for yield improvement, cycle time reduction, and cost reduction. Additionally, he is responsible for Inphi’s enterprise Product Lifecycle Management solution.
PLM Road Map for the HTE Community is the must-attend event for HTE industry executives and PLM practitioners globally—providing independent education and a collaborative networking environment where ideas, trends, experiences, and relationships critical to the HTE industry germinate and take root. The theme for this event is “Innovating in a Nanosecond World: How PLM Makes Innovation and Collaboration for the HTE Industry Repeatable, Sustainable, and Scalable.”
