Forming Technologies Inc. (FTI) the industry’s leading developer of solutions for design, simulation, planning and costing of sheet metal components, today announced the worldwide release of FormingSuite 2015. Aimed at all sheet metal forming and costing engineers, designers, and estimators in the Automotive, Aerospace, Consumer Product and Electrical/Electronic industries, the main objective of FormingSuite 2015 is to introduce new leading edge technologies to stamping simulation and to provide continuous improvement to all users in a unified collaborative environment.
“FormingSuite 2015 is the result of listening to our client’s ideas and incorporating those ideas into deliverables that will increase their productivity, improve their workflow, and deliver the results to win new business and support their existing projects” said Michael Gallagher, Vice President of Forming Technologies. “The result of collaboration between our clients and our team of developers for this release has enabled us to deliver significant gains for our technology in the Incremental Analysis, Process Planning, and Costing areas of our business”. Productivity boosters, workflow and accuracy enhancements enable user’s new functionality in viewing, rendering, sectioning, measuring, and displaying components. New setup workbench for incremental analysis will speed up the setup process, streamline tools for ease of use, with additional features and functionality to enhance performance in the areas of springback and springback compensation. FormingSuite’s Nesting solvers have been updated to provide additional refinement with enhanced speed and accuracy. Progressive nesting tools now support two blank layouts, options to flip S-webs as well as the options to simulate and visualize web deformation and feasibility based on part forming displacements. Process Planning features include enhancements to the workflow such as splitting the workbenches for Prog Die Plan and Line Die Plan. As the system is an Open-Based platform, the new release enables the users the ability to link to most BOM based systems both on the market as well as “in-house” systems that will allow improved accuracy.
Accuracy improvements for automatic calculations of load, energy, stroke, bed size to select the proper press upfront as well as die cost for double attached parts.
“FormingSuite 2015 release continues our mission to supply the stamping industry with the world’s easiest to learn and easiest to use wizard-based stamping software. Our focus of “accuracy on demand” and “cost knowledge for all” gives our customers a huge competitive advantage which enables them to meet the industry’s demands for "Green Simulation” adds Gallagher.
