Sold Out PTC LiveWorx Europe Demonstrates How Internet of Things Transforms the Way Products are Created, Operated, Serviced

PTC continues to demonstrate its leadership, vision and technical prowess for the Internet of Things at the sold out PTC LiveWorx® Europe conference, which took place this week at the ICS conference center Stuttgart, Germany. Attended by more than 2,500, PTC LiveWorx Europe is a premier European conference where professionals go to learn about the IoT.

PTC LiveWorx Europe kicked off with a thought-provoking keynote about PTC’s vision for the IoT and the impact of merging physical and digital worlds by Jim Heppelmann, president and CEO of PTC. The conference highlighted a new technology announcement of PTC Windchill 11 – PLM software for smart, connected products – and continued with insights from industry giants GE and Bosch Software Innovations as IoT partners.

Professor Gunter Dueck, philosopher, writer, columnist, and management expert, was an inspiring second day conference keynote and shared his thoughts on how the IoT changed the world landscape, highlighted some challenges and obstacles it is creating, and spoke about how technologies can inspire new opportunities.

"The energy, excitement and learning that took place this week tells me PTC offers a unique conference experience to people who create, operate, and service products," said Jim Heppelmann, president and CEO, PTC. "In addition to traditional sessions, we were able to provide attendees with a strong Solutions Expo area for more in depth understanding of how our global partner ecosystem can assist with various aspects of their smart, connected product strategy. It’s been a great week and I look forward to returning in 2016."

PTC made several announcements at the event, including the announcement of PTC Windchill® 11 and new alliance with Bosch Software Innovations to deliver industrial IoT solutions.

"LiveWorx Europe is one of the best vendor IoT conferences I’ve had the pleasure to attend," said Allan Behrens, Taxal. "Jim Heppelmann has repositioned the company well in the IoT space and did an excellent job in defining the company’s strategies moving forward, and those I spoke to from their rapidly growing customer and partner base including GE, Bosch and Zeiss like what they see. PTC is definitely a company to watch as IoT momentum continues to build."
